100th Anniversary Capital Campaign

Why Mansfield Needs a new Playhouse

The Mansfield Playhouse has been a cultural cornerstone as the second oldest community theater in Ohio. For nearly 60 years we have operated in our current location however, the aging structure has reached the end of usability. It is not accessible to all with the seemingly never ending staircases and no elevator. This has kept the Playhouse from applying for essential grants.

The new structure will be fully A.D.A. compliant and include upgraded amenities to serve all members of our community.

Preserving a community treasure

Founded in 1925, we celebrate 100 years of community theater in Mansfield, Ohio. Fostering generations of actors, volunteers, and theatergoers while building community through the experience of live theater.

Revitalizing Downtown Mansfield

As we embark into our very first capital campaign to raise $7.5 million to construct a new, fully accessible theater it signals a revitalization of the Playhouse district and will be the first major construction of Downtown Mansfield in 30 years.

How to get involved

The Mansfield Playhouse is calling on individuals, businesses, companies, and philanthropic organizations to join this transformative effort.

The campaign seeks to engage new donors while strengthening relationships with long-time supporters. Contribution of all sizes will play a vital role in making this project a reality.

Gifts to support the 100 Anniversary Capital Campaign can be sent to The Mansfield Playhouse at 95 E. Third St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902 or by donating online.
